We found out we are having a baby boy!! So excited. I decided to go with a baby boy nautical nursery for my love of the sea and coastal decor.
I was thinking of doing an elephant theme since I love elephants and already had lots of décor from my friend’s gender neutral baby shower I hosted last year. I started searching and buying more elephant decor and then found myself not loving the idea anymore. I sold the elephant decor and switched gears to a baby boy nautical nursery.

I love when people do fun, creative walls – patterns, murals, decal, etc. I thought about it but opted out. I decided to keep the walls simple and neutral in case I want to change the room down the road. I know we will be short on time once little guy gets here so I am keeping paint simple if we ever need to redo the room.
Not sure how, but I was quick to decide on the paint color. I did not even debate it… the lucky paint color was Sherwin Williams Software.
My neighbor and I went to a nursery event at Pottery Barn Kids a while back and I pulled the trigger on Baby H’s crib and chair. These two items were the most important to me when it came quality and functionality. I decided on the Larkin crib in Simply White and the Comfort Grand Swivel Rocker and Ottoman in Recycled Cotton,Dove Gray.
I ended up finding the dressers on Craigslist which saved me some money (PBK’s version here). Ryan gave them a fresh coat of white paint to match the crib.
I found these knobs at Hobby Lobby to give the dressers a little nautical flair. Plus side, I bought them when they were 50% off. I had planned on making nautical jute robe knobs to save money but ended up not having enough time. In the end, I think I like the anchors better. 🙂
